How Floa collects, uses and protects your information.
Overview
Floa is a Pilates class planning app for instructors and other adult users. This Privacy Policy explains how Floa collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use the app.
Information We Collect
When you create and use a Floa account, we may collect the information you provide, including your display name, email address, studio or business name, class plans, notes, app preferences and feedback submitted through the app.
Feedback submissions may include your message, user ID, display name, email address, device type, iOS version and the date the feedback was submitted.
How We Use Information
We use your information to create and manage your account, save and sync your class plans, provide app features, respond to feedback or support requests, maintain security and improve Floa.
Class Plans and User Content
Class plans, notes and related content you create in Floa are stored so they can be accessed through your account. You are responsible for the content you create, import or export from the app.
Third-Party Services
Floa uses trusted third-party services to operate the app, including Google Firebase Authentication, Google Firebase Firestore, the Apple App Store and Apple In-App Purchases.
These services may process information on our behalf in accordance with their own privacy policies and security practices.
Analytics and Diagnostics
Floa may collect limited diagnostic and usage information to improve the app, investigate crashes, understand feature usage and maintain security.
Where available, this information may include app version, device type, operating system version and general feature interactions. Floa does not sell personal information to advertisers or unrelated third parties.
Payments and Subscriptions
If Floa offers paid features or subscriptions, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Floa does not collect or store your full payment card details.
Storage and Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Exported Files
Floa may allow you to export your class plan data as backup or spreadsheet files. Exported files are stored wherever you choose to save or share them. Floa cannot protect files after they leave the app.
Account Deletion
You can delete your Floa account from within the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your Floa account and associated user data from Floa's systems, unless we are required to retain certain information for legal, security or operational reasons.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Floa, operate the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain security.
Your Rights and Choices
You may update your account details, export available class plan data, delete your account or contact us about your personal information.
Australian users may have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, including rights relating to access, correction and complaints about how personal information is handled.
Children's Privacy
Floa is intended for Pilates instructors and other adult users. It is not designed or marketed for use by children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, the updated version will be made available in the app with a revised effective date.
